Scent: Magnolia

When the magnolia trees flowered, my mother would cut their large white blossoms and float them in a clear bowl of cool water.  The flower's sweet perfume filled the room where my mother's friends would gather, greet me with a warm hug and call me "Shugahh." A Southern term of endearment.  Sugar
